Betsy Walker

I grew up in Tulsa, surrounded by a family of educators who taught me the importance of learning, laughter, and showing up for your people. Those values still guide my work today: I lead with curiosity and attentiveness, and place deep emphasis on the role of family in a child’s life.

In my 8+ years working as a nanny, I’ve supported children across all ages—but my specialty lies in the 0–5 range, where early development and play-based learning shine.I have experience with both Montessori and Waldorf philosophies and believe in using nature as a classroom—following tiny footsteps, collecting treasures, and learning to see the world through a toddler’s eyes.

I hold a B.S. in General Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma and maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, Water Safety, and Child Passenger Safety.

To better support the entire household, I’ve pursued additional training in child development, trauma-informed care, and family systems. I'm currently completing my certification as a Newborn Care Specialist and will be ready to support my first NCS client starting August 2025.

Outdoors, I’m happiest hiking a trail, paddling a canoe, or casting a line—fly fishing when I can, but just as content with a simple rod and reel. I’ve taught plenty of kids to fish and love watching their confidence grow with each cast. Indoors, you’ll find me painting with watercolors, collaging from old magazines, stitching hand embroidery, or elbow-deep in clay at the potter’s wheel – hands messy, mind calm!

I’m at my best behind the scenes—handling logistics, smoothing transitions, and making sure the little things don’t fall through the cracks. Whether it’s planning a toddler’s birthday, prepping the house for guests, or organizing travel, I work to create ease wherever I go.
